Baldan Bereeven monastery is located Jargalant valley in Omno-Delger sum, Khentii province.

In spite of being destroyed during the Communist purge in 1938, Baldan Bereeven was one of the largest Buddhist monastery, housing over 8000 monks.

The monastery was established in 1654 by Tseveendorj lama who studied in Tibet and was inspired to build a monastery in Mongolia similar to Lumbini, the birthplace of Buddha. The beautiful Munkh-Ulziit mountain of Khan-Khentii range lies behind the monastery. The three main temples were reconstructed.
